A large part of my creative influences and inspirations have been attributed to my kids and their interests as well as my experiences while serving in the Army. I served 7 years active duty in the United States Army as a cannon crew-member and spent half that time deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan. Traveling the world, leaving your loved ones, living in surreal environments, and having your personal beliefs and perspectives on life challenged day to day was an overall enlightening experience.
After the Army, I studied illustration at the Rocky Mountain College of Art and Design and received my BFA degree in 2017. I don’t know where this unpredictable journey will lead, but I am determined to push myself as far as I can in developing my skills as an artist.
